The Fasting Retreat Workshop

CLEANSING BODY* EMOTION* MIND* SPIRIT

Have you always wanted to fast, but never knew how to go about it? Perhaps you even tried to fast but were not successful. Fasting is an art. But just like everything else in life, once you learn how to do it, it becomes easy.

For people who have eaten several times each day, every day for decades, not eating for five days seems impossible. The challenge is to change this thought. It takes guidance and reassurance to have a successful first fast. Fasting under the influence of an expert makes it much easier. A safe, comfortable space is created, making the process effortless.

It is difficult to be leading your every day life when you just begin fasting. It is quite helpful to be in a secluded space, away from your normal experiences, habits and temptations. Fasting all alone can be an arduous task when you are a novice. Fasting with others makes it a lot easier, and much more fun as well.

On this week long retreat, besides having the benefits of expert guidance, a secluded space, and like-minded fellow fasters, you will also be acquiring a lot of information. You will learn how to begin, end, and fast properly. All facets of healthy eating will be explored. We will delve into causes for negative eating patterns and practice techniques to eliminate them.

A successful fast shifts your attitude. You will never think the same way about food again. This shift is liberating.

What we will be doing:

JUICE FASTING:
1 preparation day
5 days of juice fasting
1 day of breaking the fast

INSTRUCTION:
Healthy eating
Juicing
Herbal preparations
Bowel cleansing techniques
Skin cleansing techniques

DAILY EXERCISE:
Yoga
Tai Chi
Ball Rolling
Abdominal Work

EMOTIONAL MIND:
Recognizing and releasing destructive and limiting patterns
Optimizing your strengths
Realizing and working with your weaknesses

DAILY TALKS:
Explanations, Lectures and Talks
Instructions, Directions and Assistance
Guidance, Demonstrations

MEDITATION:
Various meditation techniques
Breathing techniques
Training to receive the knowledge from your spiritual self
