Weight Loss Workshop
Take it Off and Keep It Off
The workshop that addresses weight loss from the Eastern viewpoint.

Traditional folk drama in Kerala, Southern India
Weight! In America it has become an obsession. We obsess over
the numbers on the scale, and of course, over food itself. Yet in 2002, 65%
of the adults
in the U.S. where overweight and the numbers continue to rise alarmingly.
Asians have not suffered such problems. Not with mental attitude, body image,
or actual weight imbalances. Traditional Chinese Medicine states that when
a person is balanced they will not suffer from cravings or an extreme appetite.
He or she will be able to eat what they want and maintain normal weight.
In the Eastern view being over or underweight is a symptom of an underlying
health
problem.
Unless the underlying root cause is corrected any weight loss will be temporary.
In the West, weight loss programs either limit food intake, or suppress the
appetite. Both methods send confusing messages that stress the body/mind
and imbalance the metabolism. This leads to what is commonly known as the
yo-yo syndrome. Greater weight gain is experienced once normal eating begins.
This workshop is unlike any other on weight loss. We work
to discover the root problem using Oriental Medical Diagnostics.
In addition we will discuss:
*Over and under eating
*Water and fluid intake
*Food combining
*Why we have food cravings
*Appetite
*The role of enzymes
*Exercise, what to do and what not to do.
*Emotions and food
*Seasonal eating
*Alkaline and acid, the P.H. balance
The purpose of this workshop is to give the participants the understanding, the knowledge, and the tools to correct any problems with food and weight. Whether the underlying cause(s) be over/under eating, physiological, psychological, or metabolic.
